Thank you for your interest in attending the 2018 Fall Mega weekend at Camp Gorton on September 21-23, 2018.  This year we are offering some amazing courses provided by top notch trainers from the council.

NEW THIS YEAR

C.L.A.W.

What is CLAW?

CLAW stands for Cub Leader Adventure Weekend.  CLAW is a one weekend training event like no other.  Here you get Den Leader Specifics, Cubmaster Specifics, BALOO, and all the training you will need as you progress in Cub Scouting as an Adult Leader.

What will I be learning?

Friday night is dedicated to Cub Scout Den Leader Specific and Cubmaster Specific.  On Saturday, get ready for a wild day of CLAW Training as you embark on becoming BALOO Certified.  Learn outdoor skills and knowledge you take back to your units and are NOW CERTIFIED to take Cub Scouts on overnight adventures.  On Sunday, an amazing breakfast and closing graduation.

What if I am currently Specific Trained?

If you have completed the specific training for your position, you may join us on Saturday morning for the BALOO portion of the weekend.  You may still arrive Friday night for an additional fee.

 BALOO

Don’t miss the opportunity to take this fully energized NEW AND IMPROVED TWO-DAY TRAINING session in Cub Scout Camping Training, BALOO.  Designed specifically so Cub Scout Packs can go camping on their own, it covers planning and conducting a successful Pack overnighter including ideas for outdoor activities & games, ceremonies, camp equipment, campfire programs and even some outdoor cooking.

NOTE:  BALOO and OWL have combined into one course. This includes an over night and covers outdoor training for all Cub Scouts and Webelos.

Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops and Crews

ILST/C is a combination of the National BSA Syllabus Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops and Crews and the principles of the patrol method.  The course presents the skills in a practical unique fun environment of an actual patrol.  Youth instruction presented to youth as a real patrol experience. The course is designed to train an entire patrol or train select youth leaders and supply them with resources and confidence to return to their unit and execute such training within their unit.  ILST/C is a pre-requisite to attend the National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) Course.
