Come Escape the Cold at Camp Gorton for the 2018 Let the Games Begin!

Any Cub Scout, Parent, or Leader!
Packs should divide themselves into Dens of 8 – 10 scouts.
Each Den is encouraged to come up with a flag representing a country. Sorry the Stars and Stripes are reserved for the Camp!
Two deep leadership is required!

Receive an Early Bird discount when you provide an approximate count by the close of business on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Scout Shop in the Arnot Mall. No Refunds for No Shows.

There is no charge for Volunteers.


2 adults required to register per unit to meet two deep leadership.
*Extra patches for adults who attend can be purchased on the registration form.

Throughout the day, Coffee, Hot Cocoa & Water will be available.
BYOC - To reduce costs, please bring your own drinking cups to use all day. Foam cups are available for $0.25 each.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

8:15 am-8:40 am:   Registration– Dining Hall
8:45 am:                 Opening Ceremonies– Parade Field
9:00 am-12:00 pm: Let the Games Begin Activities Open
12:00-12:30 pm:     Lunch
12:30 pm:               Closing Ceremony– Dining Hall

You will have an activity list to help you keep track of the activities you have done. There will be a map be available to help you in finding the locations of all the activities.

WHAT TO BRING:
*Lunch: Every Scout, family member, and Leader must bring his/her own lunch OR preorder lunch from the OA.
*Warm Clothing: Most activities are outdoors – Scouts should dress appropriately (i.e. no sneakers)
* Extra clothes – Scouts find a way to get wet.
*Adult Supervision: Each Pack should make sure it has enough adult supervision. Each Den needs to have at least one adult assigned to it. Packs must have a minimum of two adults (two deep leadership).
*A Drinking Cup! Help cut down on waste by bringing your own reusable cup.

The Order of the Arrow supports and promotes camping in the Five Rivers Council. Members of the OA will prepare lunch for you to purchase. The menu is as follows:

  • Bowl of Chili $2.00
  • Hot Dog and Chips 2.50
  • Hamburg and Chips 3.00
  • Cookies 1.00
  • Foam Cups .25

Packs may use the PRE-ORDER form during registration to order lunch. If using the paper registration please turn in the forms to Chris Theurich or the Scout Service Center by Tuesday December 26th you may email to chris.theurich@scouting.org, fax to 607-796-5101 or call 607-368-4138. Checks should be made out to Five Rivers Council. You may pay the day of the event.
