This area will provides the details on the incentive plan for completing your unit recharter in a timely manner.

Currently we offer:

November 14th

  1. Unit charter renewal is completed on-line and hard copy is turned into Council – this includes all required money, signatures and leader trainings.
  2. Retention – Unit completes their charter year with at least a 70% youth retention rate compared to the previous year. * See additional details at bottom of the page.
  3. Recruitment – Unit completes the Scouting year with at least 2 more registered youth members than the previous year. * See additional details at bottom of the page
  4. The unit’s BeAScout.org pin is populated and up to date.

Your unit receives (Overall value exceeds $80):

  • Free cloth rank for the year This now includes Venturing! Only advancement submitted using the online system will qualify.
  • One free leader at camp (either Boy Scout or Cub Scout Resident Camp)

December 1st

Notes:

*Retention is defined as the number of youth who have stayed in the program from the beginning of one charter to the end of next.

  • If your unit has 10 youth and all 10 stay you have 100% retention.
  • If you have 10 youth and 3 leave you have 70% retention.

 

**Growth is based off of your renewal numbers compared to the previous year.  Recruitment is when your unit starts a new charter year with more youth registered then on the previous charter.
