Klondike Derby


February 8-10, 2019

Come one come all to the 2019 Klondike Derby February 8-10 at sunny Camp Brule! This year’s event will be filled with fun exciting challenges to test the skills and knowledge of the boys in the Scouting arena!

Tentative Schedule

Friday, January 18
6:00 – 9:00 pm Check In and Campsite set up
7:30 – 9:00 pm Order of the Arrow serving pizza
9:15 pm            Leaders Meeting (Youth and Adult) – Taylor Room
11:00 pm          Quiet Time

Saturday, January 19
7:00 – 8:15 am      Order of the Arrow Breakfast in the Dining Hall and check in for Saturday arrivals
8:15 am                 Opening Ceremony – parade field
9:00 – 9:50 am       Station 1
10:00 – 10:50 pm   Station 2
11:00 – 11:50 pm   Station 3
12:00 – 1:00 pm     Lunch on the Trail
1:00 – 1:50 pm       Station 4
2:00 – 2:50 pm       Station 5
3:00 – 3:50 pm       Station 6
4:00 – 4:30 pm       Sled Race
4:30 – 5:45 pm       Pot Luck Dinner Prep
5:45 – 6:00 pm       Flag Ceremony & Religious Observation

8:00 pm                 Campfire in Dining Hall - Songs, Skits, Cheers, Awards!
9:30 pm                 Cracker-barrel – Taylor Room
11:00 pm                Quiet Time

Sunday, January 20
7:00 – 9:00 am Breakfast in campsites
9:00 – 9:30 am Break Camp and check out.

Youth Competitive Events being planned are:
First Aid                       Trapping                 Distance Measure                 Lashing
Cooking                       Shelter Building       Overall use of Patrol Method

The Registration Fee is $20.00 if paid by December 28, 2018. If paid after December 28, pizza Friday Night is not available and Breakfast on Saturday becomes an additional
charge of $6.00. This helps to ensure the proper number of patches and amount of food are purchased showing that scouts are THRIFTY! Only PRE-REGISTRATION GUARANTEES A PATCH!

Pizza Friday night and Breakfast Saturday are provided. Each troop will be responsible for its food for cooking events and for unit meals for Saturday Lunch, Pot Luck Dinner, and Sunday Breakfast. Cracker Barrel during the Friday night Leaders meeting and Saturday night are provided.
